Salmon

Salmon

258 lbs

Day FIVE of intermittent fasting is coming to a close! I treated myself to two donut holes and a torte. Then, I realized they weren’t as delicious as I thought they’d be. Were they worth the resulting brain fog and epigastric discomfort?

…definitely not the donut holes, and probably not the WHOLE torte. If I had had only perhaps a few bites of the torte, I might have enjoyed the entire experience. Hm. Next time, I’ll check in with my stomach halfway through a delectable. Meanwhile…

I’m just happy that I plated my afternoon meal with such color and beauty. Look at the Christmas color contrasts sandwiching the pale, wild-caught salmon! Not pictured are the amazing sourdough bread bites simmered in a delightful cheese/kefir soak. The color, again, was fantastic.

Hugging my salmon is a wild concoction of goat kefir and dijon mustard. The flavor is interesting but leaves somewhat to be desired.

Can’t wait to see what I’ll cook next.

See ya!
