Figuring out exactly how and why it’s so hard to get healthy is like trying to understand a cross-stitch pattern by studying the tangled underside. Attempting to change the course of my steady weight gain is like pulling on one of those threads in the tight mass…and feeling it snag.
Three major challenges taunt my journey to health, and I have spent half my life swirling around each of them with varying degrees of un-success. The Big Three are as follows, in the order of most to least seemingly impossible: sticking to healthy foods I can tolerate, intermittent fasting, and exercising. SIE for short. 🙂
But, I’m happy to report that something’s changed in the last few weeks:
I’ve been exercising. Hard. And I almost quit. But then I got back on the plan…and it was almost too easy to fall into the pattern again.
This got me thinking. If I can topple the least hardest challenge to my health goal, what if I can topple the next hardest — intermittent fasting?
Makes me wonder.
