It feels really good to write this next sentence: I slept in until 5:40 am this morning.
That’s right – “slept in.” As in, I woke up earlier than 5:40 but ignored the circadian alarm and fell back to a dull doze…
And the breakfast, oh my goodness. Breakfast this morning deserves an award: two slices of delicious bacon hugging two gently fried eggs, sunny side up and wiggling.
Ew. I realize this sounds grosser than it looked and tasted.
And then there was the raw milk taking the edge off the acidity of the goat cheese, raspberries and green grapes (my favorite grape color).
Of course, I can’t forget the delicious sprigs of fresh green onion fencing the plate’s diameter between the animal proteins and the cheese and fruit. That didn’t stop the bacon grease lapping the bottom edges of the raspberries, but I didn’t care. What I’m trying to say is,
I love my breakfasts.
I want more of those.
