Day 1: Loving Turmeric, Hating Turmeric

Day 1: Loving Turmeric, Hating Turmeric

185 pounds

So one of the things I don’t understand is how squirrels know which way to spiral up trees when I’m following them so that I can never see them. They are always hidden from view, and I’m pretty sure they silently laugh at me from inside their tiny little squirrel brains, clinging to their lofty tree hold.

Another thing I don’t understand is how sea glass is made. How much time does the water take to round out the broken edges? Is there a way to expedite the process? Maybe not. Maybe that’s part of the beauty of large bodies of water – only God knows their mysteries.

Finally – and here’s the key question for today – why does turmeric taste so biting when it’s so good for you? Apple cider vinegar is something I have every day; but add turmeric with other ingredients, and now I have a killer dressing:

  • apple cider vinegar
  • bone broth
  • grape seed oil
  • ginger
  • ground white pepper
  • turmeric
  • rosemary

Life is fun as it is. Take a healthy turmeric dressing with your dish of the day, and it’s even more fun! But maybe don’t go too far with the turmeric like I did. Once I bought a bottle of turmeric kombucha; it was so biting that my friend spit it out the instant she tasted it.
